Showing of reviews. Top Reviews Most recent Top Reviews. There was a problem filtering reviews right now. I live in an apartment with no external water source for my large patio garden.
After getting tired of hauling ten gallons of water a day to keep everything watered, I began looking for an alternative and found several options for attaching a garden hose to a sink faucet. Only the Claber worked. Nothing that requires attaching by a screw end will work with my faucet, and other clamp-style adapters are a fixed size. The Claber lets you adjust the height so it can clamp tight to a wide variety of faucet designs. I get decent water pressure, though I'll never be able to power-wash the porch.
One thing to keep in mind: It only takes a few seconds for enough water pressure to build up in the hose to make the adapter pop off the faucet and dose the room with water. Have been browsing many solutions to my garden hose problem. This adapter was perfect for my bathroom sink. I kind of lost it when the adapter arrived and it didn't seem to fit. But I googled a YouTube review and realized there is a little screw system to loosen or tighten accordingly.
I must say I did have a drink and it was 3am. This short and simple-to-follow guide will explain exactly how to attach your garden hose to the kitchen sink in as little as five minutes. A thread adapter is a small device that, on one end, is threaded to fit your kitchen faucet while on the other end, it is threaded to fit your garden hose.
Before you go out to purchase one, figure out what kind of faucet you have, if possible. While a lot of faucets have the same sized hole, some do not. The adapter should cost you no more than five to ten dollars and can be found at just about any hardware store. Your faucet should have some sort of fitting underneath where the water comes out.
Option #1: A Lever Adapter
If so, you will need to break this fitting and pull it out. The fitting usually consists of a simple rubber stopper and is often times easy to remove by hand. Sometimes though, on older or more difficult faucets, a pair of pliers may be required to break the fitting. Carefully screw your thread adapter into your kitchen faucet. Take extra care not to cross-thread or try to force it in.
